Health care reform is being discussed at all levels of government in Canada and by provider and community groups from coast to coast. There is widespread recognition that significant reform in the delivery, funding and organization of health care is inevitable over the next few years.

But in what direction and in whose interests will reform take place?

The Wellesley Institute is interested in how health reform can enhance health equity and addresses the systemic barriers that produce health disparities. We have identified six facets of health care reform that are key to reducing health inequities.
